Ada, OK (January 19, 2025) - On Saturday, January 18, one person was killed and another hurt after a car accident outside of Ada. The fatal accident took place on County Road 3540 late that night around 7 p.m. Local reports indicated that 38-year-old Jason Gordon was driving a 2009 Dodge pickup truck as 28-year-old Thalia Baptiste was driving a 2018 Kia Soul.
The two vehicles collided, and emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid. Baptiste was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite being rendered aid, she sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. Gorden was pinned for nearly an hour before being rescued by responding officials. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance and later released. The area was temporarily closed while authorities were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. However, local law enforcement officials are handling an ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident.
