Ada, OK - Passenger Dies, Driver Hurt in Collision on OK-1

Ada, OK (March 4, 2025) - A man from Gainesville, TX, was killed after a single-vehicle crash in the Ada area on Sunday, March 2. The fatal accident took place on OK-1 late that evening just before midnight. Local reports revealed that two people were driving in a sport utility vehicle in Pontotoc County when the driver crashed for unknown reasons. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, a passenger in the car suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victim was later identified as 34-year-old Isiah Harmon. The driver of the Nissan Rogue, 33-year-old Jennifer Burden of Ada, was airlifted to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
