Bartlesville, OK (September 16, 2024) - On Sunday, September 15, one person was killed and another was hurt after a vehicle collision outside of Bartlesville. The deadly accident took place on US Route 75 and involved two cars. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties.
Local reports revealed that 80-year-old Gordon Slocum was driving a car with a single passenger, 78-year-old Beth Slocum, both from Bartlesville. For unknown reasons, the car collided with another vehicle driven by 65-year-old Billy Archer. Despite life-saving measures from responding paramedics, Beth Slocum sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Gordon Slocum was transported by life flight to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Archer was reportedly unharmed in the crash. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene, and no further information is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
