Bridgeport, OK (December 1, 2024) - One person was killed and another was hurt after a single-vehicle crash in the Bridgeport area on Saturday, November 30. The deadly accident took place on Old 66 Road early that morning. Local reports revealed that The two victims were traveling in a 1956 Ford pickup truck traveling eastbound on the roadway when it the vehicle hit a rough patch on the road.
The pickup exited the road to the south and hit a utility pole. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver, 62-year-old Jimmy L. Wilhoit, and the passenger, 42-year-old Clayton W. Adams, were both transported to a local hospital for treatment. Wilhoit was later pronounced dead. Adams was reportedly in critical condition. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are managing an ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident.
