The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office (OHSO) reports that there are more than 66,000 car crashes in Oklahoma each year on average, and over 12,000 people are hurt, and 1,700 die in these collisions. While most of these crashes happen on city streets, nearly 10,000 reported collisions in the state each year occur on highways.
