Bryan Co., OK - Fatal UTV Rollover Crash on Public Federal Land

Bryan County, OK (November 17, 2024) - A child was killed after a crash involving a utility terrain vehicle in the area of Bryan County on Saturday, November 16. The deadly accident took place that afternoon on public federal land. The victim was riding a 2021 Coleman UTV that was operated by 72-year-old Thaworn Jackson. 

The vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound on a recreational trail when it hit an embankment and rolled partially. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving aid, the juvenile passenger suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. No other injuries have been reported at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
