Colbert, OK (January 24, 2025) - A pedestrian was left with serious injuries after a hit-and-run accident outside of Colbert on Wednesday, January 22. The incident took place on OK-91 near Cardinal Lane late that night around 9 p.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was walking along the shoulder of the highway when they were struck by a motorist.
The at-fault driver fled the scene without providing the necessary aid. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary medical aid. The victim was airlifted to Medical City Plano Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. At this time, no information regarding the identity of the driver nor description of the vehicle has been provided. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked the scene. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
