Davis, OK (January 7, 2024) - On Monday, January 6, two people were killed after a head-on collision outside of Davis. The deadly crash took place on Primrose Lane in Murray County at around 5:33 p.m. It was later revealed that 60-year-old Sheryl Williamson of Ardmore was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer headed westbound when she crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided head-on with an eastbound 2012 GMC driven by 38-year-old Robbie Bennett of Sulphur.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, both drivers sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked the scene. Although no further information on the fatal collision is currently available, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
