Enid, OK (January 30, 2025) – On Tuesday, January 28, one person was killed and another injured after a two-vehicle crash outside of Enid. The fatal accident took place at the 3000 block of W. Willow Road late that night, around 7 p.m. Local reports revealed that 72-year-old Jose Alvarado was traveling westbound in a 2012 Ford F-250 pickup truck when a 2018 Toyota Highlander driven by 87-year-old Margaret Jane Krick pulled out from a stop sign.
Alvarado was unable to avoid the crash, and the two vehicles collided. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Krick was rushed to Integris Health Enid Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead. Alvarado was transported by ambulance to the same hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
