Pedestrians are some of the most vulnerable people on the road. Pedestrian fatalities are on the rise nationwide, and there's a higher chance of death or serious injury when traveling on foot. According to the numbers, about one in six deaths in a recent year involved pedestrians in the United States. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says that in Oklahoma in 2021, nearly 13 percent of traffic deaths involved someone on foot. If someone close to you dies in a car accident, you should be ready to file a strong wrongful death claim with the help of an experienced attorney.
