Guthrie, OK (March 20, 2025) – On Tuesday, March 18, a teenager from Kansas was killed after a car accident in the Guthrie area. The deadly crash took place on Interstate 35 SB near mile marker 156 that afternoon at around 2:45 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties.
At this time, the circumstances leading to the collision have not been determined. It was later revealed that 19-year-old Joshua C. Hicks was driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he was involved in a crash with another vehicle. Despite life-saving aid by attending paramedics, Hicks suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Guthrie medical personnel.
