Guymon, OK - Man Dies in Semi-Truck Crash on County Rd

Guymon, OK (February 15, 2025) - One person was hurt and another killed following a two-vehicle crash in the Guymon area on Friday, February 14. The deadly accident took place on County Road Y in Texas County early that morning. Local reports indicated that a 2013 Peterbilt tractor and a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck collided at the scene. 

Local reports revealed that 59-year-old Cory D. Hammonds of Perryton, TX, was traveling eastbound on County Road Y in the Peterbilt when his rig hit the driver’s side of the Dodge. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. The driver of the pickup, 27-year-old Treyton K. Mussman of Guymon, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hammonds was transported by ambulance to Guymon Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to a Texas trauma center with internal injuries. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. However, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal collision is underway.
