Indianola, OK (April 23, 2025) - On Monday, April 21, a man was killed after being struck by a Freightliner truck outside of Indianola. The deadly incident was reported on OK-113 that afternoon at around 3:18 p.m. It was later revealed that a 68-year-old man was riding a utility terrain vehicle at the time of the crash.
The man was hit by a Freightliner just north of Shady Grove Road. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid. Despite life-saving support, the man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area was closed for several hours while emergency crews were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
