In a crash, motorcyclists are more likely to get seriously hurt. Too many people die on American roads while riding motorbikes, which puts their riders at risk of being hurt in the event of a crash. In motorcycle accidents, riders are nearly 27 times more likely to be killed than other people in the crash. Studies show that almost 80 percent of motorcycle accidents end in death or serious injury. Even worse, bikers are almost four times more likely to get hurt in an accident.
