We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time.
In some kinds of accidents, people are more likely to get seriously hurt or even die. Some of the deadliest types of car accidents on Oklahoma roads are head-on collisions. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) says that head-on collisions are much more deadly than other types of car accidents, with a death rate of almost 56 percent. Even though they only make up two percent of recorded crashes across the country, head-on collisions are responsible for almost 10 percent of reported traffic deaths. A lot of the time, these accidents happen because drivers turn into oncoming traffic and hit other cars.
