Marietta, OK - Passenger Dies in Pickup Crash on OK-77

Marietta, OK (February 12, 2025) - On Sunday, February 9, a passenger was killed after a traffic accident in the Marietta area. The fatal accident took place on OK-77 in Love County late that evening around 6:45 p.m. Local reports indicated three people were traveling in a pickup truck when it crashed. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities were present. One of the passengers, 35-year-old  Dustin Kitchens, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore by ambulance before being flown to the Oklahoma University Medical Center in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries. None of the other occupants of the pickup were hurt by the impact. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash, and more information will be provided as it continues.
