Newkirk, OK (March 15, 2025) - There were confirmed injuries after a multi-vehicle collision outside of Newkirk on Friday, March 14. The collision took place on OK-11 that afternoon at around 1:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that the Newkirk Fire Department and EMS ambulance was returning from a hospital in Blackwell when it encountered a serious dust storm on the highway.
Visibility was impaired, and a crash ensued involving multiple vehicles. Two firefighters and paramedics were hurt as a result of the crash, and two other victims were hospitalized for treatment.
