Oklahoma City, OK - Fatal Motorcycle Crash at SW 59th St & S Walker Ave

Oklahoma City, OK (September 12, 2024) - A two-vehicle collision in the Oklahoma City area on Wednesday, September 11, resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. The fatal crash was reported at the corner of SW 59th Street and S. Walker Avenue late that night around 6 p.m. Local reports revealed that a sport utility vehicle and a motorcycle collided at the scene. 

It was later revealed that the driver of the SUV was pulling out of a nearby parking lot when they hit the motorcyclist who had just entered the intersection with a green light. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene. Despite life-saving measures, the injured rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. No one else was harmed in the accident. The deceased party was identified as a man in his 30s. No further information on the fatal crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
