You never know what someone else will do behind the wheel. Unfortunately, Oklahoma drivers have a reputation for being reckless behind the wheel, with speeding and driver distraction both being common on the state’s roads. Distracted driving has quickly become one of the leading causes of life-changing crashes in the United States, contributing to over 3,000 deaths and many more serious injuries on average each year. In the time it takes to send a single text, you can travel the length of a football field when traveling at highway speeds. Texting while driving is one of the worst offenders, but things such as talking with a passenger and messing with the radio can also take your focus off the road.
