Oklahoma City, OK (November 2, 2024) - A pregnant woman was killed and others were hurt after a crash involving a wrong-way driver in the Oklahoma City area on Saturday morning, November 2. The fatal accident took place on Lake Hefner Parkway near W. Hefner Road. Local reports revealed that a driver was headed in the wrong direction on the roadway when they collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The impact caused one of the cars to flip. Three people, including a pregnant woman, were extricated from one of the vehicles involved. The three injured parties were rushed to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. The pregnant woman was later pronounced dead, and the two other victims were listed in critical condition. The northbound lanes of the roadway were temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. The identity of the deceased party has been withheld. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
