Oklahoma City, OK (December 10, 2024) - On Sunday, December 8, two people were killed after a car accident in southwest Oklahoma City. The fatal accident took place on Interstate 240 between Western Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue early that morning around 4 a.m. Local reports revealed that 37-year-old Casey J. Townsend was driving west on the interstate when the vehicle went off the road for unknown reasons.
The vehicle veered to the right where it hit a tree. A passenger in the car, 41-year-old Quaylana D. Harris, was pinned for nearly 90 minutes, and Townsend was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving measures, both victims sustained fatal injuries and were later pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. However, local law enforcement officials are managing an ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident.
We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims at this time.
