Riding a bike is a great way to get around, but it leaves you exposed to the dangers of the road, especially if you share the road with a motor vehicle. Every year, bicycle accidents on American roadways kill nearly 1,000 people and hurt over 130,000 more. Less than one percent of trips are made by bicycle, but over two percent of people who die in car accidents are cyclists. A total of 1,105 cyclists were killed in car accidents across the United States in 2022, making up 2.6 percent of all traffic deaths that year. If someone close to you is killed in a bicycle accident, you can pursue justice by seeking a wrongful death claim with the help of a trained legal team.
