Stillwater, OK (September 4, 2024) - Two motorcyclists were killed following a car crash in the Stillwater area on Tuesday, September 3. The incident took place early that morning on US-177 near E. 68th Street early that morning around 5:55 a.m. It was later revealed that a Ford F-250 pickup truck, a Harley Davidson, and a Kawasaki motorcycle were involved in the collision.
It was later reported that the driver of the pickup was making a turn into a nearby business when he struck the motorcyclists. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Both riders sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. The driver of the pickup, 44-year-old Robert Hazlip of Cushing, was not hurt in the collision. The deceased parties were later identified as 54-year-old Johhny Bruce and 54-year-old Scott Wittman, both of Perkins. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
