Tahlequah, OK (December 21, 2024) - A woman was killed and another person injured after a car crash in the Tahlequah area on Friday, December 20. The fatal collision took place at around 4 p.m. on US-62. Local reports revealed that a sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck collided at the scene.
Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to aid the involved parties. The driver of the SUV, 38-year-old Miranda R. Cowden, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where she was later pronounced dead. The other driver was hospitalized, treated for injuries, and later released. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities were present. No additional information on the accident is currently available.
