Tecumseh, OK - Woman Killed, Child Hurt in Semi Crash on US-177

Tecumseh, OK (December 7, 2024) - A woman was killed and a child injured after a two-vehicle crash outside of Tecumseh on Friday, December 6. The deadly accident took place on US-177 in Pottawatomie County before 5:57 p.m. Local reports revealed that a semi-truck and another vehicle collided at the scene. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. The woman driving the car suffered fatal injuries in the impact and later succumbed to her injuries. A child in the car was airlifted to a local hospital in stable condition. No additional injuries have been reported at this time. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked to remove the resulting wreckage and other debris. The circumstances leading to the deadly crash have not yet been reported. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
