Tulsa, OK (October 23, 2024) - A juvenile was left with fatal injuries after a pedestrian crash in north Tulsa on Tuesday, October 22. The deadly crash took place near the Bradford Apartments late that night around 8:45 p.m. Local reports revealed that the at-fault driver was traveling at 25 to 30 miles per hour traveling southbound through the complex when the victim was running across the parking lot.

They later returned to the crash site and turned themselves into responding officials. The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. It is not believed that alcohol or drugs were involved in the impact. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.

Deadly Hit-&-Run Crashes in Oklahoma

Tulsa, OK - Child Killed in Hit-&-Run near Bradford ApartmentsA hit-and-run crash is when a driver hits someone and flees the scene without providing aid. Statistics show that almost 25 percent of pedestrian deaths in 2022 were caused by hit-and-runs. From 2013 to 2019, hit-and-runs made up about 20 percent of pedestrian fatalities nationwide. According to the data, almost 73 percent of hit-and-run accidents only damage property, 27 percent end in injuries, and less than one percent end in fatal injuries. Those traveling on foot or by bike are more likely to suffer fatal injuries in hit-and-runs as they are often unable to get the support they need to pursue a full recovery.
