Tulsa, OK - Child Killed in Pedestrian Crash at Memorial Dr & E 21st St

Tulsa, OK (April 17, 2025) – A child was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in the Tulsa area on Wednesday, April 16. The deadly crash took place at the corner of Memorial Drive and E. 21st Street at around 5:20 p.m. Local reports revealed that a seven-year-old boy and several other children were trying to cross the street, headed north. 

Eastbound traffic in the inside lane was stopped to let the children pass. However, one car hit the seven-year-old. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the injured party was provided aid by attending medical personnel. The injured pedestrian was transported to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
