Tulsa, OK - Medical Episode Causes Injury Pedestrian Crash on Peoria Ave

Tulsa, OK (February 5, 2025) - There were multiple injuries after a car accident in the Tulsa area on Monday, February 3. The incident took place on N. Peoria Avenue E. 78th Street N. It was reported that the driver of a pickup experienced a medical episode, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway. 

The pickup struck a tractor-trailer and a flag man on the construction crew. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. Responding medical personnel applied a tourniquet to the injured worker’s leg to relieve potentially life-threatening injuries. He was later transported to a local hospital for additional treatment. The driver and passenger of the pickup were also injured and hospitalized for support. The north and southbound lanes on Peoria Avenue were temporarily closed as local officials worked to clear the scene. No further information on the incident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are managing an ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident.
