Tulsa, OK - Pedestrian Dies in Freightliner Crash on I-44

Tulsa, OK (March 2, 2025) - There were fatal injuries after a pedestrian-vehicle accident in the Tulsa area on Sunday, March 2. The deadly crash took place on Interstate 44 near W. 49th Avenue early that morning at around 12:57 a.m. The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by a Freightliner semi-truck. 

At this time, the circumstances leading to the crash have not been determined. The victim, later identified as 43-year-old Wesley Wiley, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner, 30-year-old Baljinder Singh, and his passenger, 26-year-old Rajesh Kumar, were not injured in the impact. The area was temporarily closed while local law enforcement officials were present. No additional information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal incident is in progress.
