Vian, OK (September 28, 2024) - An Oregon man was killed and another person was injured after a car accident outside of Vian on Thursday, September 26. The deadly accident took place on Interstate 40 late that night around 9:40 p.m. Local reports indicated that two vehicles collided at the scene.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. One victim, later identified as 38-year-old Robert Jaramillo of Coquille, OR, suffered fatal injuries in the impact. The driver of the other vehicle was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance in critical condition. Local reports indicated that both drivers were pinned in their respective cars in the crash. The circumstances leading to the collision are still undetermined. No additional information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
