Wellston, OK (February 10, 2025) - On Sunday, February 9, one person was killed and another was injured after a car accident outside of Wellston. The deadly incident took place on OK-66 near OK-102 late that evening. Local reports revealed that a Hyundai Tucson and a Ford F-350 pickup truck collided at the scene.
The circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been provided. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched in order to provide aid to the involved parties. It was later reported that 46-year-old Amber Leafty was driving the Hyundai when she collided with the F-350, driven by 40-year-old Ronald Henry. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, Leafty sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was rushed to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The roadway was closed for some time while emergency crews were present.
